Hamworthy SNT would like to make you aware that within the last week they have discovered within the Hamworthy West area 2 properties which were cultivating cannabis within them, the offenders were arrested, charged and awaiting to go to court.

Between the times of 1400hrs on Sunday 9th November 2014 and 0820hrs on Monday 10th November 2014 a theft from a stationary motor vehicle occured in the Walcheren Place area of Hamworthy, Poole. Whereby 1 Hubcap was stolen and 2 others were damaged but not taken. On the same night in the same location another car on the street got broken into whereby someone forced the passenger side door and attempted to hot wire the car, the owner found the car in the morning with the passenger side door left open.
Please make sure your car is locked and secured and make sure alarm is set if you have got one. Between the times of Monday 20th October 2014 at 1800hrs and Wednesday 22nd October 2014 at 1200hrs a theft of a Dinghy has occured in the Purbeck Avenue area of Hamworthy, Poole. The owner of the Dinghy had kept it at this property while they was away, it was stored in the properties front garden behind the shrubbery not in view of the road. The owner came back on Wednesday 22nd October 2014 to pick it up from the property to find it had gone. A neighbour has since come forward to say they saw 2 men both approx in their 50’s turn up in a white van on Tuesday 21st October at around 0930hrs and load it into the back of their van and drive off one of the men was described as being tall and plump with blonde hair. The make of the dinghy is Wetline, it is around 2.6 Metres in length, its light grey in colour with black bottom and has grey wheels on the stern and a puncture which has been patched over on the portside tube which is on the rear, a red tow rope and has the seat missing from it .
Please do not leave any items of value which has not been secured in a easily accessible place, please either put them inside a secured garage or inside the house. Between the times of Saturday 8th November 2014 at 2230hrs and Sunday 9th November 2014 at 1120hrs a theft from a unattended, stationary motor vehicle has occurred in the Turlin Moor Recreation ground area of Blandford Road, Hamworthy, Poole. The method of entry was through smashing the passenger window whereby 4 CD’s and a denim jacket has been stolen.
Please make sure you don’t leave any items of value in your cars even if not on view, make sure your car is locked, secured and alarm is set if you have one. Between the dates of Friday 10th October 2014 at 0900hrs and Monday 20th October 2014 at 1600hrs a theft of a pedal cycle took place from a secure garage in the Hewitt Road area of Hamworthy Poole. The owner of the bike was on Holiday during this period and came back to find the garage open and unlocked there were no signs of forced entry. The bike was described as a GT Turnismo 3.0 which is silver and black in colour.
Please do not keep bikes unlocked or in unsecured places, even when in garage lock the bike up inside and please keep a note of the bikes serial number for tracking purposes. Between the dates of Wednesday 1st October 2014 and Saturday 11th October 2014 a STIHL Petrol Strimmer which is orange and grey in colour was stolen from a insecure shed in a secure garden in the Blandford Road area of Hamworthy Poole, it was likely the garden was accessed from the wasteland at rear.

On the 3rd November 2014 between the times of 0300hrs and 0500hrs an attempted theft of a boat engine occurred in the Hamilton Road area of Hamworthy, Poole. At around 0500hrs the occupant of the house woke up and thought they could see shadows outside the window when they got up to look outside the front of the property they noticed that the engine had gone off their boat and noticed a white panel van drive off down the road. The engine was located in their next door neighbours garden and they noticed the security lights had been tampered with so they didn’t work.

On Sunday 26TH October 2014 the owner of the Dinghy went away on holiday and left the dighy hidden in the shrubbery in their front garden of their property in the Purbeck Avenue area of Hamworthy Poole. The owner came back from holiday on Wednesday 29th October 2014 to find the dinghy had gone. Then their neighbour reported seeing 2 males both approx in their 50’s one of them tall with blonde hair turn up outside the property in a white van on Tuesday 28th October 2014 at approx 0930hrs and load the dinghy into their van.

November 3rd 2014. This is a Telephone Fraud/Scam message.
In the past few weeks Telephone Fraud has been on the increase. If you receive any phone call that claims to be from your bank or the Police to say your bank card has been used fraudulently the caller may ask you to hang up then call back to ensure the call is genuine, but they stay on the line so your call goes straight back to the fraudster.
The next thing they will ask is for your pin number. If you give it to them they will now have the ability to access your account. If you receive one of these calls hang up and dial 1471 noting the number used call the Police on 101, but please wait a few minutes in case the fraudsters are still on the line.
